A New Look for DKRO Labs

If you've visited our site recently, you might have noticed things look a little different around here. Over the past few weeks, we've been quietly working behind the scenes on a full refresh of DKRO Labs online — and we wanted to take a minute to share what's changed, and why.

Where it started

DKRO Labs began as a name pieced together from the people closest to us — the first letters of our family (D, K, R, O), and "Labs" for our black lab, who's been right there with us through every print job. That story has always meant a lot to us, but honestly, our website wasn't doing a great job of showing who we actually are. It looked a bit like an unfinished template — mismatched photos, a logo that didn't quite hold together, and a layout that wasn't telling our story the way we wanted it to.

So we decided to fix that, piece by piece.

A logo that's actually ours

We redesigned our logo from the ground up — a clean hexagon mark with a small print-head detail, paired with a simple "DKRO Labs" wordmark. It's meant to capture what we actually do: original designs, 3D printed by hand, by us. You'll now see this same logo consistently across our website, our packaging, and our social pages, instead of a different version on every platform.

Colors and fonts that feel like us

Alongside the logo, we built out a proper color palette — a deep navy, a warm coral, and a pop of blue — used consistently across every page, every button, and every banner. We also picked fonts that felt right for a shop that sits right at the intersection of maker culture and family craftsmanship. Small detail, but it's the kind of thing that makes a site feel put-together rather than assembled piece by piece.

A homepage that actually tells our story

We rebuilt our homepage from the ground up:

• A new hero section right up top, so the first thing you see is a clear sense of who we are and what we make.
• A quick trust bar — a few honest reasons to feel good about buying from us: handmade in-house, shipped from the U.S., and run by an actual family, not a factory.
• Reworked product spotlights that highlight the collections we're proudest of.
• A cleaner, easier-to-browse navigation menu, so finding what you're looking for — bookmarks, keychains, gifts, and everything in between — takes a click or two, not a scavenger hunt.

Something new on the horizon

While we've been busy with the website, we've also been quietly working on something in the workshop: Tiny Guardians is coming.

This is a brand-new collection of mini 3D-printed creatures, designed in-house — a Panda, Wolf, Cheetah, Gorilla, Koala, Snow Leopard, Cheshire Cat, Lemur, and Sloth, each with their own personality. It's the latest of our collections that are 100% original to DKRO Labs from the ground up, and we couldn't be more excited to bring it to you.

What's next

This refresh isn't a one-and-done thing — we'll keep tuning and improving as we go, and Tiny Guardians is just the start of more original designs to come. Thanks for sticking with us through the changes, and for supporting a small, family-run shop that's still very much figuring it out as we grow.
